Carol Grouthouse is the 1st grade teacher. Mrs. Grothouse attended Ball State University and Purdue University where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Her certifications include an Indiana Teachers License and an ACSI Teacher Certification. Mrs. Grouthouse has been teaching for 25 years. Five of those years have been spent teaching at NorthRidge.
Mrs. Grouthouse’s hobbies include quilting, wearable art, creative clothing, crafting and antiquing. She also has an insatiable thirst for knowledge and reading. If she is not reading a book for her own knowledge and enjoyment, she is searching for books that her children can read in her classroom. She and her husband, Tom, also enjoy traveling to historic sites and gaining knowledge through that process.
One of the most exciting aspects of her career and education is that now she will get to use all that she has learned and experienced in playing with and teaching their new baby granddaughter, Anna.
